PhD Research Workshop

The Schar PhD Student Association (SPSA) is a student-run organization for all Ph.D. students in the Schar School. It provides a platform for professional and intellectual support, student-led initiatives, and opportunities for greater student interaction and collaboration. All Schar School PhD students are welcome to present their research, including working papers and ongoing projects. Faculty members are invited to give feedback. These workshops take the format of “mini conferences” in which students present their ongoing research. Presenters receive constructive feedback from the faculty and engage fellow students in a discussion of potential research topics.

Two or three students will present at each workshop. Students will first present their research as if in a conference setting. Students are invited to ask questions and make comments, then attending faculty and other attendees are encouraged to comment as well.
